Discover My Grandma's Empanadas

My Grandma's Empanadas in Warner Robins, GA, has quickly become a beloved spot for anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering empanadas with a touch of home-style warmth. Located at 120 S Armed Forces Blvd, this cozy diner serves up a unique twist on a classic dish, creating an experience that feels more like visiting a cherished family member’s kitchen than just dining out.

The moment you step inside My Grandma's Empanadas, you’re greeted with the aroma of freshly baked pastries that instantly transport you to another place. The space is unpretentious, yet welcoming, designed to make you feel like you're part of the family. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal, there's something truly comforting about the ambiance that makes you want to stay longer.

When it comes to the menu, My Grandma's Empanadas stands out not just for the quality of its food but for the wide variety of fillings offered. From classic beef and chicken to more adventurous combinations like spinach and cheese or shrimp, every empanada is handcrafted to perfection. The fillings are rich and flavorful, never too greasy or overly seasoned, allowing the ingredients to shine through.

One of the best things about My Grandma's Empanadas is the commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This ensures that each empanada is bursting with flavor and authenticity. Many diners have shared how the flaky, golden-brown crust, paired with the tender filling, offers a satisfying contrast in texture and taste. The balance of flavors in each bite is something you won’t easily forget.

In addition to the empanadas, the restaurant also offers a selection of sides that pair perfectly with your meal. For example, their seasoned rice and black beans are a popular choice, offering just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the main dish. The homemade sauces, too, deserve a mention. A touch of tangy, spicy salsa or a rich garlic sauce can elevate the meal to a whole new level. These sauces add just enough kick to complement the empanadas, not overshadow them.

The customer service at My Grandma's Empanadas is another reason why people keep coming back. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like family. The staff is friendly and attentive, always happy to provide recommendations if you're undecided about what to try. The owner, a local expert in the art of empanadas, is often seen chatting with customers, sharing stories about her grandmother’s original recipes and how they’ve been passed down through the generations. This personal touch makes the dining experience feel even more special.

For those who enjoy a bit of variety in their dining routine, the menu at My Grandma's Empanadas doesn’t disappoint. While empanadas are the main attraction, there are also several unique specials that rotate throughout the week, ensuring there’s always something new to try. This is a great way to keep things interesting for regular customers who want to expand their palate without straying too far from the comfort of their favorite empanada.

  • Wow. What an impressive spot! The most fresh and yummy empeñadas! Coming from Austin TX, where there’s so much good food, we are truly spoiled - this place is top notch. Husband has been here 4x and he brought me today- and wow. Everything was super Yummy and fresh!! Service was fast & employees were attentive. The wedge salad and the chicken and beef empeñadas … not greasy, just full of flavor!! Can’t wait to go back. They also sell local art! The only thing, I’d love to have had the option of some sour cream and/or some chipotle / spicy aioli sauce - I’m not a salsa fan, but that’s just my personal preference.

  • I was impressed by the creativity of the chef and the beautiful plating of each dish. The flavors were bold yet perfectly balanced. The waiters were attentive and checked on us regularly. The interior design gives a modern, elegant vibe. I highly recommend this place for a memorable meal.

  • The food here is so well executed. The ingredients are simple and fresh and expertly crafted. I've eaten here several times and it never disappoints. There are variety of crisp, perfectly poofy empanadas, the chicken soup is great with the perfect amount of spice, the avocado salad is wonderful. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced, and they fry in locally produced sunflower oil. It's one of those unique local gems that can give you a great dining experience without breaking your wallet.

  • After leaving Robins Air Force Base, we were looking for something solid to eat and came across this spot. Even though the restaurant showed it was closed, the owner, Rikki, personally answered my call and told us to come on in. That right there set the tone. From the second we walked in, the energy was positive—decorations sharp, staff smiling, and they greeted us like they had just opened for the day. The empanadas were on another level—fresh and flavorful. The salsa had a serious kick to it, the kind of heat I’d buy by the bucket if they’d let me. From the smiles to the energy, this place feels good, and the food more than delivers. I’ll be back very soon, and if you’re near Robinson AFB, I highly recommend making the stop

  • 100% recommend. Food is fresh. They have no microwaves or freezers. You can see the staff making the empanadas right there behind the counter. Staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken empanada, stuffed avocado and the guava berry dessert empanada. My ONLY critique that would’ve made this a 5 star is my chicken empanada needed more filling. Since I can’t rate half stars, I chose 5 stars instead of 4 bc the flavor was delicious and I’d go back again.

  • Wowwwwwww this place is amazing!!! The outdoor seating is very cute and comfortable. The inside of the restaurant was so clean and beautifully decorated, and the food was AMAZING!!!!! I love that they only use locally sourced natural ingredients, you can certainly taste the difference in quality here! I ordered 3 empanadas, 1 cariminola, one stuffed avocado, and a drink on the side. I was amazed with my total only being $20!!! I was full after two empanadas (they’re stuffed!) I can’t wait to go back. If this place has been on your list of spots to try, then TRY IT!

  • I don't come here often because it's just so far away from home. But today was an outing with some friends and even during The lunch rush from the base across the street, the orders were out in very quick order. Always really good. The guava berry as a dessert option is phenomenal.
